After taking the source material (the Facebook post about cooking a brownie), re-purposing it (making a blog about other cooking experiences), the final step in the project was to re-mediate it. To do so, I filmed a video in my kitchen of my attempt to make a peach cobbler dish. This video was my first time shooting a video solo, cooking on camera, and editing audio/video, so there were quite a few challenges to overcome in filming and post-production. Overall, I'm quite happy with the final product but there are many lessons I came away with in filming a video, such as the necessity of multiple takes, and how difficult it is to look into the camera lense when speaking. I absolutely plan on continuing to make similar videos though!
